Profile

Head of COCO STYLE. The COCO in the name carries the time of here and now, the individuality of each person, and a wish for comfort. Through yakuzen and yoga she offers each person the healthy life that is just right for them. Her own health troubles drew her to the link between food and the body, and she has built up practice while studying Chinese medicine. She runs yakuzen courses built around the five seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter and the rainy season) and around constitution, and yoga lessons you can use day to day, bringing yoga and stretching into the yakuzen courses and work on the meridians and pressure points into the yoga lessons, so the learning crosses between fields. Through hints on food, self-care and daily habits, she supports a comfortable life you can keep up.

Yakuzen work she can take on
1 Yakuzen and yoga courses and seminars She runs both yakuzen courses and yoga lessons, and delivers learning that crosses between the two. She brings yoga and stretching into the yakuzen courses and work on the meridians and pressure points into the yoga lessons, moving between theory and practice so that people understand it in the body. On themes built around the five seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter and the rainy season) and around constitution, she conveys daily care you can bring into life the same day, gently and without strain.
2 Supervising yakuzen recipes and proposing menus Through supervising home yakuzen recipes and teaching cookery courses on things like ume preserving and spice curry, she offers ways to bring yakuzen thinking down to the family table. While keeping in mind what ingredients do and how the body is in that season, she designs around ingredients that are easy to find and steps that are easy to follow. A skilled cook with a feel for handwork, she shapes recipes and menus that leave the cook feeling they can keep making them, and enjoy them.
3 Care for women before and after birth, and for women's complaints Her strengths are feeling the cold, swelling, settling periods, and care before and after birth. Combining what she has learned in postnatal yoga and yoga therapy with yakuzen, she proposes self-care matched to a person's constitution and the rhythm of their life. Across food, daily habits and how you move, she builds daily care with you that women can keep up without strain, and grows the sense of being able to settle yourself comfortably.
Track record
Supervising home yakuzen recipes and teaching cookery courses

An ume preserving course at tiny space kitchen (Nagatacho), recipe supervision for WAKURAKU home yakuzen (Kagurazaka), a spice curry class at Otona no Asobi: she has built up places to convey yakuzen and cooking, as teacher and supervisor. With learning that crosses yakuzen and yoga, and a gentle way of leading a session, she delivers courses that feel approachable even to complete beginners.
